This available Premium model First Edition Package can be ordered with an exclusive First Edition exterior color, Grabber Blue. The package is also available with Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Carbonized Gray. First Edition also features body-color exterior accents and 19" machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss black-painted pockets and red-painted brake calipers.
The Mustang Mach-E Appearance Package is available with the Select model, providing a black-painted roof and 19" Shadow Silver-painted aluminum wheels with high-gloss black-painted aero covers. The black roof complements the other black design elements, such as the grille appliqué, lower door cladding, wheel moldings, upper window moldings, high-gloss black beltline moldings and black-painted rear spoiler.
Of course, the iconic and instantly identifiable Mustang Pony badge will appear on the grille of every Mustang Mach-E. Also, the brushed aluminum wheel center caps will have a high-gloss black Pony graphic. After dark, Mustang Mach-E maintains its presence with Pony projection lamps beaming from the sideview mirrors when the doors open. California Route 1 badges will appear on the sides of vehicles with that trim level. Perceptive customers might notice small differences between the Pony on the gas-powered Mustang coupes and the modernized Pony emblem on the Mustang Mach-E.
Mustang Mach-E stands out with iconic Mustang sequential tri-bar taillights.
There's a nice surprise when you open the hood. Mustang Mach-E provides a standard waterproof and drainable front trunk with 4.8 cubic feet of storage space - ideal for a small cooler.
As the owner approaches, Mustang Mach-E greets them with a spotlight - or "welcome mat" - projected onto the ground near the driver's door. The front-end signature lighting and taillamps fade up and the door handle pocket illuminates to show the driver where to touch to unlatch the door. Inside the vehicle, the ambient lighting fades up. When the driver exits Mustang Mach-E, it sends them off with fading lights and the projected ground display as they step out.
Adaptive LED Headlamps, Hands-Free Foot-Activated Liftgate, SecuriCode Invisible Keypad and Windshield Wiper De-Icer.
Customers will know when they sit inside the 2021 all-electric Mustang Mach-E that this is designed to be a Mustang interior. Every Mustang Mach-E has power exterior mirrors with heated glass, LED turn signal indicators, Pony projection lamps and security approach lamps. Select models are manual folding while California Route 1 and Premium offer power folding with the autofold feature.
Mustang Mach-E owners will have plenty of space for their passengers and the stuff they want to carry. The all-new, all-electric SUV can seat five people comfortably or customers can fold down the rear seats to enlarge their rear cargo area. Behind the second-row seats, customers will have 29 cubic feet of cargo space plus an adjustable load floor and hidden compartment for their Ford Mobile Charger. With the rear seats folded down, Mustang Mach-E provides 59.6 cubic feet of space for larger items.
The hands-free, foot-activated liftgate allows owners to conveniently open or close the liftgate with a simple straight kicking motion under the rear bumper when the key fob is detected.
The B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, standard with the Premium model, will provide 10 speakers and a subwoofer. The sound bar design features an all-new fabric speaker grille that blends into the interior design. The 560‑watt sound system includes adaptive volume, surround sound and power manager. The subwoofer, which produces sounds on the low end of the spectrum, is externally coupled, which improves performance in a small enclosed space.

The next-generation SYNC® 4 in the 2021 Mustang Mach‑E puts the focus on ease of use and improvements in interactivity. Mustang Mach-E features a 15.5" portrait-style LCD touchscreen in the center stack with a split view consisting of a main screen and a right margin to keep track of up to 10 secondary functions. The next-generation SYNC® 4 represents an improvement in natural voice recognition, which allows for smarter searches. For example, customers could tell the system to "Find the best Italian restaurants" on your route and it responds with help from Yelp.
The next-generation SYNC® 4 system with voice-activation takes advantage of the cloud to deliver a more robust navigation experience in Mustang Mach-E. Navigation maps on the SYNC® screen rely on internet input to provide the latest info on traffic and construction zones in addition to directions. The system regularly refreshes to capture the latest possible developments along the driver's route.
With the Wi-Fi® connection, customers can now access both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ wirelessly. AppLink Remote Control allows anyone in the vehicle to control the radio stations, temperature controls and other in-vehicle features from a Bluetooth®-connected phone.
Ford ensures that Mustang Mach-E will be connected and the vehicle can grow and evolve as technology changes by providing over-the-air (OTA) software updates for vehicle features or modules when needed. The customer will see a notification on their screen that an update or addition is available and then they can choose to have it applied right away or later - such as while the Mustang Mach-E is parked in the garage.
A new Digital Assistant dash card system adds interactive functionality and personalization to the Mustang Mach‑E infotainment/entertainment system. The new system reduces the need for users to switch between menus or scroll through pages to find the features they want. Recently used and frequently used features will appear along with bottom of the 15.5" touchscreen for quicker, easier access. For example, your navigation, EV range status, phone, streaming music and other applications could be available at a single touch. It's a multitasker's utopia. Also, owners can enter multiple user profiles so that different drivers can instantly call up their personalized settings.
Customers can enter their Mustang Mach‑E and start it using their smartphone rather than a physical key with Phone As A Key (PAAK). As the driver approaches, the vehicle senses the authenticated Bluetooth device and the doors automatically unlock. The vehicle also features walk-away locking, which is a first for a Ford vehicle. If a customer unlocks the vehicle door and then returns to their home for any reason, the door will lock again in about 3 seconds.
With the E‑Latch system, there are no conventional door handles to disrupt the flow of the beltline, which maintains the vehicle's design lines. The driver presses a button on the vehicle's pillar and the door pops open about 1 1/2 inches. The driver can use a small handle above the beltline to pull the door open from there. A light on the door appliqué indicates whether the Mustang Mach‑E is locked (red) or unlocked (green).
Mustang Mach‑E is packed with additional technologies, including:
360-Degree Camera with split-view display
Forward Sensing
System
Post-Collision Braking
Rain-sensing windshield wipers
Wiper-activated headlamps.
The 15.5" center-stack color LCD touchscreen has all of the same functionality as the 8" center-stack screen, plus the capability to split the screen display for simultaneous viewing of different system functions. For example, the voice-activated navigation screen can be viewed at the same time as the phone screen.
The center-stack color LCD touchscreen has a simple, user-centric appearance that features large on-screen touch buttons easily identified by what they do, streamlining the most relevant information.
You hear it all the time - EVs are all about clean energy and efficiency, right? You'll enjoy smashing this myth with your customers. Because inside every all-new, all-electric 2021 Mustang Mach‑E lives the spirit of a Mustang. Here's what customers will experience on the test-drive: nearly instant torque to the wheels. Acceleration from 0‑60 MPH in the mid 5‑second range for AWD models. Up to 417 lb.‑ft. of torque available. Responsive steering and cornering ability. In a word, exhilaration.
Mustang Mach-E customers can choose between a standard range 75.7‑kWh battery or an extended range 98.8‑kWh battery. As a means of comparison, the Tesla Model 3 has a 50‑kWh standard range battery and an optional 75‑kWh extended range battery.
Mustang Mach-E with a
standard range battery and
rear-wheel drive (RWD) offers a targeted EPA-estimated
range of over 230 miles or a targeted EPA-estimated range of
over 210 miles in AWD models
The
extended range Mustang Mach-E models offer a targeted EPA-estimated range of about 300 miles in RWD
models and targeted EPA-estimated range of over 270 miles with
the AWD model.
The Mustang Mach‑E system will continually provide expected remaining range calculations that account for the charge status and weather effects. At the same time, owners can check the FordPass Charging Network to find charging locations along the intended route. Mustang Mach‑E does everything it can to help make range anxiety an outdated concept.
The all-new 2021 Mustang Mach‑E all-electric SUV shares classic attributes with its gas-powered sibling, Mustang. First, the rear-wheel-drive architecture (with available all-wheel drive) provides the foundation for performance. The low center of gravity and long wheelbase also optimize its performance and handling ability. The tight 15.3:1 steering ratio and 38.0' turning diameter enable precise handling worthy of the brand's heritage. Mustang Mach‑E also features the MagneRide Damping System, which responds in real time to driving conditions. And of course, Mustang Mach‑E will look powerful with its aggressive styling emblematic of Mustang design.
Because electric propulsion systems are not mechanically coupled from front to rear, EV motors can send as much as 100 percent of torque to either axle almost instantly. How instant? Ford engineers say Mustang Mach‑E is targeting to achieve peak torque in 500 milliseconds. The result is a targeted maximum of 417 lb.‑ft. of torque and 332 horsepower available (with Extended Range AWD) and either 255 horsepower (Standard Range) or 282 horsepower (Extended Range) in RWD models - and plenty of smiling Mustang Mach‑E owners.
The All-Wheel Drive System in the all-new Mustang Mach‑E doesn't just help improve traction. The system also enhances acceleration because it has a primary electric motor in the rear and a secondary electric motor for the front axle. Torque can be applied to either axle at any time, so both motors can work together to provide powerful acceleration. The Mustang Mach‑E AWD System is also tuned to provide precise handling by balancing torque between the front and rear axles. In fact, the vehicle control system contains algorithms designed to optimize the balance between performance and energy use, depending on the driver's needs.
Every Mustang Mach‑E will have an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal, standard. One-Pedal Driving (1PD) simply means the driver can switch to this mode and use the accelerator pedal only to control the vehicle's speed and deceleration in certain traffic situations. In an EV, releasing the accelerator pedal slows the vehicle more aggressively than a conventional vehicle. At the same time, Mustang Mach‑E is capturing regenerative energy as it decelerates. The vehicle can even ease to a stop in this mode - without the driver touching the brake pedal. However, it's best to use the brake pedal to hold the vehicle in place at a complete stop.
Mustang Mach-E features EV-specific Drive
Experiences that provide the mood the owner desires in the moment.
Engage - balanced,
fun-to-drive and productive with in-vehicle sounds to enhance the driving experience.
Whisper -
seamless, calm and quiet mode with driving-related
sounds deactivated.
Unbridled - exhilarating
drive and exciting acceleration with increased throttle response and more prevalent driving sounds.
An all-new, dedicated vehicle platform (GE1) was created for Mustang Mach‑E. The chassis consists of many aluminum front and rear suspension components, along with lightweight, high-strength steels for the body structure. In EVs, the main battery placement has other advantages - the battery serves as a weight to achieve more precise front-to-rear balance, and the protective cage surrounding the battery helps provide rigidity to the frame.
With four different charging options at home or on the road, 2021 Mustang Mach-E is designed to give customers a worry-free ownership experience. Two of the most prominent concerns for first-time EV customers are keeping the battery charged and having enough range to accomplish all their daily driving duties. With a targeted EPA-estimated 230 miles of standard range and 300 miles for extended range models, plus four ways to charge the Mustang Mach-E, customers should have peace of mind.

MILES OF RANGE PER HOUR OF CHARGING
Charge rates for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) are expressed as miles of range per hour of charging. There is currently no standard abbreviation for miles of range per hour of charging, but a number of abbreviations are in common use.
The FordPass Charging Network provides Mustang Mach-E customers access to the largest public charging network in North America. When owners register through the FordPass app, they can recharge at more than 12,500 charging stations across North America - and the network keeps growing. FordPass Charging Network members can access public chargers at Electrify America and many other charging networks using the same account, which will give Mustang Mach-E owners that wide-ranging network of DC fast charge and Level 2 charging stations. Registered customers can use FordPass on their phone to locate a charger, check availability, pay and receive updates on their vehicle's charging status.
The Ford Mobile Charger for 120‑volt charging or 240‑volt charging is included with every Mustang Mach‑E electric SUV. Customers can purchase a 240‑volt/48‑amp Ford Connected Charge Station for their home or business for faster charging and connected features. Mustang Mach‑E owners can carry their mobile charger with them wherever they go. DC fast charging capability is also standard - this method of charging is available outside the home and easily found and accessed through the vehicle center-stack touchscreen or the FordPass app.
Your customers can improve their ownership experience with the purchase of a 240‑volt Ford Connected Charge Station wall unit that can charge at least 10 times faster than a conventional 120‑volt outlet. Customers with a 240-volt (Level 2) charging unit can add up to approximately 32 miles of range for every hour of charging. The cost of the home Connected Charge Station can be included in the customer's financing plan. Installation can be arranged through Amazon for customer convenience. The Amazon installation link will be available on the Mustang Mach‑E website by early 2020.
DC fast charging stations are typically located off major roads and highways alongside amenities such as restaurants for a convenient way to charge during road trips. This is the fastest way to charge because of the high amperage and direct infusion of energy into the battery. Customers can add about 47 miles for every 10 minutes of charge (depending on battery). DC fast charging restores 80 percent power to the battery in about 45 minutes on the extended-range RWD variant. Mustang Mach-E customers can register with FordPass Charging Network to get public charging access to Electrify America stations across the country, as well as other DC fast charging network stations.
The LED charge status indicator light consists of five arcs forming a circle to tell the customer there's an active charge going on - and to show its progress. Each arc represents the level of charge in the battery, starting with 0-20 percent and progressing at 20-percent intervals until it reaches 100 percent. When the battery is full, the charge indicator light will form a fully lit circle.
Customers can preprogram their preferred charge times for the vehicle through their FordPass app or the center-stack screen. Remind customers that overnight charging, also known as value charging, is usually the economical way to charge because of lower electricity rates. Mustang Mach-E owners with FordPass can also check their scheduled charge times or active charge status on their phone.

EVs are quiet and with the exception of normal tire noise, pedestrians might not hear a Mustang Mach‑E approaching. That's why every vehicle is equipped with an Audible Vehicle Alert System, which projects a sound to alert people on foot when the vehicle is traveling at slower speeds. The tone activates in forward or reverse at 1.2 MPH and turns off at about 12 MPH when accelerating.
